What do you do when a photo shoot doesn't go as planned?

That morning was bright, and the model's eyes were too sensitive to the sun. Most of the expressions didn't work, and the shoot couldn't be repeated. I was left with photos that were good, but not quite right.

For a year, I kept looking at them, unsure what to do—until one evening I began experimenting with cropping. Focusing on shapes, lines, and the original mood we aimed for, something new emerged.

A valuable lesson: sometimes, less truly is more.
