These rocks, part of the Canadian Shield, were formed during the Precambrian Era. During their formation, black and grey stone mixed with rusty and pink tones, creating striking striated patterns.
The construction and widening of Highway 69 near Parry Sound, Ontario, exposed these abstract formations.
I am drawn to strong lines, patterns, shapes, and textures. The Precambrian rocks offered all of these, and photographing them was a genuine pleasure, resulting in a series of abstract images.
