The following projects are ongoing and evolve according to my availability, energy, and state of mind.
Trapped in Form
Drawn initially to the clean lines of new high-rise architecture, the work evolved into an examination of what surrounds it—density, visual noise, and pollution—and how these environments can feel overwhelming at ground level.
Density, visual noise, clutter, and pollution emerge as defining elements, revealing how contemporary urban environments—while appearing ordered and refined—can feel confusing, tense, and enclosing at ground level.
Fall Colours
While some autumn photographs appear in the Harsh, Intimate, and Feelings galleries, they represent only a small part of this work.
Over time, I have come to realize that the most compelling scenes are often found not in parks, but along highways and quiet country roads. This project will likely take several years to complete.
Roots
A black and white project dedicated to photographing exposed roots and the surrounding landscape along the Niagara Escarpment in Southern Ontario.
Precambrian Rocks
Although works from this series have already been photographed and exhibited in Precambrians and Precambrians II, the project remains open and ongoing.
Trapped…!?
Completed in late 2018 with the production of a 100-page book, this black and white project reflects on the disappearance of rural landscapes under relentless urban development. While the book stands as a finished work, the subject itself remains open.
