Along the highway, these photographs focus on exposures from the Precambrian Era.

I have been fascinated by these rocks for over forty years. Only recently did I stop rushing past the road cuts and begin giving them the attention they deserve. Standing in front of rock this old makes you feel insignificant. I studied each surface carefully, responded to what I felt, and then framed and recorded the image.
