Precambrians II is a photographic collection of rock portraits from the many road cuts of the Muskoka and Parry Sound districts. These images convey the impression of painted surfaces. They reveal how the varied colours of the rocks were mixed, folded, cracked, and compressed under extreme heat and pressure. Surface textures added during construction, along with new colours introduced through weathering, give these Precambrian Shield rocks a distinctive visual dimension.
